Baseboards
The picture shows two 8-by-3 pillar baseboards, one 4-by-4 pillar baseboard and one 7-by-5 baseboardThe Locktronics baseboards consist of a matrix of metal pillars on a strong plastic base. To build circuits, students push sprung connectors attached to various component carriers (carriers supplied separately) between the baseboard pillars.
Because the pillars are evenly spaced, students can attach each carreir either across or along the baseboard. Side slots on the pillars ensure students position the carriers accurately.
The assembled boards closely resemble circuit diagrams, clearly showing students how the circuits work.
